A tasty touch!

Claire, our friendly Receptionist at the front of the office received a surprise recently. Edible Arrangements, a customer of Northside Carting specially delivered a hand-crafted fruit arrangement to Claire for her consistent kindness and efficient follow up. Claire is pictured below showing off the Edible Arrangement.

Maynard Touch A Truck Day

Every year the town of Maynard hosts a “Touch a Truck Day” where numerous trucks from all different types of work converge on one site to give children the chance to have their picture taken in the trucks. Northside Carting was able to send a recycling truck accompanied by two Northside employees to the Maynard truck day this year. Northside would like to thank their employees, Marc Lampkin and Jerome Johnson for taking the time out of their day to help out at the truck day.

I would like to extend a compliment to one of your workers who puts in extra effort every week to assist an elderly woman in our neighborhood. This employee operates the recycling truck, usually alone, in the Phelps Street area of Salem at 7am on Wednesday mornings.

Every Wednesday he has been observed assisting the elderly woman with her recycling containers, returning them to her house and then taking the time to speak with her for a few minutes. It may be only a little gesture, but it is good to see an employee who performs an extremely difficult and physical job take the time to do such a good deed.

I have also over the past observed many other of your employees extend the extra effort to help out residents in need.

Please inform your employees that their good deeds and hard work do not go unnoticed and are very appreciated by many residents of the City of Salem.

Northside Carting Environmental Science Award for 2011

Northside Carting is proud to offer two scholarships to deserving classmates of Salem High School. The two hard working students receiving the scholarship are Megan Debski and Chunyin Sun. Megan will be studying Engineering at Northeastern University while Chunyin will be attending University of Massachusetts at Amherst and also studying Engineering. In addition to the Environmental Science Award, Northside Carting has been working with various schools, clubs, and youth organizations to offer tours of TBI, the 650 ton per day Construction and Demolition processing facility in North Andover. TBI offers tours weekdays from 9am-4pm.

Jimmy Fund Walk

For the second year in a row, Northside Carting participated in the Boston Jimmy Fund Walk. Both years, Northside Carting was able to raise over $1,000.00!

Aubuchon Hardware Dumpster Program

Northside Carting has recently begun working with select Aubuchon Hardware stores within Massachusetts and North Andover. Northside has picked fifteen stores to market and offer 15 cu. yd. and 30 cu. yd. open top roll-offs to Aubuchon customers. This convenient service allows for Aubuchon to process the order while Northside provides the container. We are eager to work through the fall with this exciting new program.

In conjunction with the Dumpster Program, Northside Carting is offering a $50.00 gas card to all Aubuchon Store Managers involved whose store sells the most dumpsters. The first store manager with the most dumpsters sold is Marty Craven of the Clinton, MA store. Marty is pictured below with his winnings. Congratulations Marty and best of luck to you and the rest of the Aubuchon stores involved!

Years in the business: Fred has been a Mechanic for over 15 years.

How long have you been with Northside? Paul has been with Northside for two years however, he has been in the rubbish business for 35 years.

Where did you work before coming to Northside and what did you do there?

Before coming to Northside, Paul worked for Waste Management.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, Paul is fond of doing dinner and a movie with his wife. Also, he loves watching sports, especially football.
