We all get caught up with our day to day routines, and sometimes even lose the flexibility to alter our schedule no matter what. Two of our valued employees, Robert Hartford and Rubin Rosas, found the time to assist one of our residents in the City of Salem, during this snowy winter, and made such an impression, that the she felt it was important that we were aware of their kindness and patience. The letter below that Ms. Carvino sent explains it all. Northside Carting would like to congratulate Robert and Rubin for extending their personal, as well as the company, image in a positive and caring way, and for their efforts, we have provided each of them with a $25.00 gas card.
Ms. Carvino's Letter:
I just wanted to let someone within customer service know that I have a gentleman
on my route who is not only always pleasant and waves to my little nephew whenever he's
at the door watching the truck, but just this morning showed a great deal of composure
and patience. I wish I could have had a second to ask his name, but I know he was a
Hispanic gentlemen who was working the back of the truck.
I live on Mt. Vernon St. in Salem and even without snow, the street is very tricking to
get any vehicle down let alone a truck. Today the driver honked the horn and I came to the
door. This gentlemen pointed to a couple of cars and I said I could move mine and I'd be right
out. When I did come out I was bracing thinking he'd be very aggravated and upset with the
whole situation, but instead thanked me for moving my car. I was pulled so far up into a snowbank
that I would need to go through the passenger side. The truck was stopped next to the passenger
side door so I told him I'd go over the snowbank and get in the driver's side. He said no and to wait
as he motioned the truck to back up a tad. He could have just let me tromp through the snow (like most
would do these days) or have been so aggravated he'd make it so I had to, but he didn't.
He never lost his composure while trying to help me move and direct the truck driver through
very tight spaces. I never felt that he would loose his composure. I wouldn't hesitate to move a car
for his truck again because of the patience he demonstrated today. It may not seem like much looking
from the outside in, but it meant a lot to me.
